Who will conduct the Health Visit?
Health measurements on the Life in Your Early 60s Survey will be collected by a fully qualified healthcare professional who may be a nurse, midwife, phlebotomist or emergency medical technician.
NatCen are one of the fieldwork agencies working on the Life in Your Early 60’s survey and have a panel of specialised healthcare providers responsible for conducting the Health Visits. Due to a shortage of healthcare professionals, from October 2022, NatCen are working with INUVI, an organisation which specialises in health data who also have a panel of specialist trained nurses.
If you gave permission during your interview to be contacted about a Health Visit, you will be contacted by a representative from either NatCen or INUVI who will arrange with you a suitable date and time for a healthcare professional to conduct this visit.
All of the NatCen and INUVI healthcare professionals have been specially trained to very high standards. NatCen and INUVI follow Department of Health best practice principles for collecting blood samples.
