Will a nurse be able to visit me in my home?

Yes, nurse visits are taking place. We are offering nurse visits as this part of the survey cannot take place remotely due to the physical measurements the nurse collects during their visit. This includes taking a small blood sample, checking blood pressure, grip strength, walking speed and balance, and recording measurements such as weight, and waist/hip circumference.

Nurses will wear appropriate personal protective equipment (PPE) such as a mask, gloves and apron, and will follow a number of safety guidelines to reduce the spread of COVID-19 (please refer to the following leaflet for further details). However, if you are clinically vulnerable or you are concerned in any way about having a nurse visit you at home, please let the nurse know.  The nurse will also check whether you are isolating or have any COVID-19 symptoms before making an appointment or entering your home.
