Who is paying for the activities exploring memory, attention and problem-solving?

The additional activities are funded by Alzheimer’s Research UK and Alzheimer’s Society (US). By linking the rich information collected by NCDS over decades with the results of the additional activities exploring memory, attention and problem solving, researchers will be able to explore in detail how experiences and circumstances throughout life relate to these skills. We also hope to repeat the activities in future surveys, so that we can better understand how these skills change over time.

This research will improve our understanding of cognitive health across the life course and the factors that help people maintain their abilities and wellbeing as they age. The findings could help inform future research, interventions and treatments that support healthy ageing.
